Hey, it’s been a though, hasn’t it? I do not assume I have published a website post in a year or so. I hope you are all executing well in these outrageous periods. As constantly, many thanks for studying.
I have a problem: What is your favorite U.S. National Park?
Over the earlier two years, I’ve fallen in appreciate with them.
Before the pandemic, I had only visited a handful of them, largely by incident. But once the pandemic hit, and it was secure ample to road-journey, I drove all about the region checking out them.
Now I’ve witnessed 15 out of 63. And sometime, I’d like to see them all.
First, there was Redwood Countrywide Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…
Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling views of nuclear reactors…
Then Utah, dwelling to some of the greatest countrywide parks in the region: I visited Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Following Utah, I frequented Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Incredibly hot Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is where by I live now.
Then there was Big Bend, Texas. The night sky is incredible there! You can see so numerous stars.
Adopted by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…
And most not too long ago, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Countrywide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even observed mountain goats.
I experience so fortunate that I’ve gotten to see so a great deal of our beautiful state in the earlier number of years.
When I was more youthful, I centered solely on global journey (this blog site is not known as Ashley Abroad for nothin’). But about the earlier two yrs, I’m pleased to report that I’ve attained a newfound appreciation for my individual backyard.
It turns out you do not have to fly midway all-around the entire world to go on an adventure.
As for my favorite? It’s a two-way tie amongst Redwood and Large Bend.
How several countrywide parks have you visited? Do you have a most loved?
(Here’s a entire list in scenario you’re curious.)
