Canada To Mexico RV Holidays – Puerto Penasco
For years, my wife and our four legged companion had ventured off in our RV (Recreational Vehicle,) making our way south to the 🏁 NASCAR Races in Phoenix, Arizona.
Something I have always loved to do each and every year! 🙂
A few years ago, we decided to take a little extra time and head further south and venture into 🌵 Mexico.
This was the first time traveling into Mexico with our 🚌 Class C Motor Home. In past years, we always flew to popular destinations in the country for a vacation.
We were very excited about making our first trip from 🍁 British Columbia – Canada down south and eventually crossing the border into 🏜 Mexico!
I still don’t really consider us as official Snowbirds, as I always had to return home for work, which I might add, helped pay for these fun and exciting 🏕 camping holidays!
Puerto Penasco [Rocky Point] Mexico
I am always in search of new and interesting places to discover, and heard so much about a very popular seaside resort town on the Sea of Cortez called – 🏖 Puerto Penasco.
It sounded like a perfect destination for our first time crossing the border into Mexico.
This town is more commonly referred to as – Rocky Point for Canadians and Americans.
As well and for the first time, I decided to keep a travel diary of our journey. I did this in order to inspire other baby boomers and retirees like ourselves, to stop thinking about traveling into Mexico and actually go and do it like we did! 🙂
I constantly follow camping trip forums and websites, always searching for new and exciting destinations to travel to.
It’s through these sites and chatting with others, that inspired me to finally take the plunge and visit – Puerto Penasco.

Our First Canada To Mexico RV Holiday
We had a wonderful 2 week stay at a lovely beachfront RV Park in Puerto Penasco.
It’s an easy drive and excellent 🛣 highway from the 🚥 🛂 Lukeville Arizona Border Crossing, taking no more than 2 hours from the U.S. Border.
The locals were so friendly and as this is a shrimp 🎣 fishing town, the fresh jumbo 🦐 shrimp were superb!
There’s excellent full facility beach front camping, some superb family restaurants and gift shops in town to enjoy during your stay.
Puerto Penasco is a wonderful destination to just sit back, relax and enjoy life for awhile!
I highly recommend this destination as a great start for first timers heading into Mexico. This is a free zone in Mexico, so no tourist visa is required.

Canada To Mexico RV Holidays – Baja Mexico
A few seasons ago, we enjoyed a fabulous 28 day 🚌 RV Caravan journey down the Baja Peninsula with 🌵 Baja Amigos Adventure Caravans.
After having a great time on our first camping experience to Puerto Penasco, we were excited to join this small group for a fully escorted RV vacation down the Baja Peninsula.

We had a wonderful time and it was a terrific way to travel safely and securely into Mexico, especially for the first time.
Baja Mexico RV Caravan Tours
We had an absolutely wonderful 28 day fully escorted camping journey down the Baja California! The scenery was spectacular and the people along the way were so friendly and eager to help out at any time.
Our tour guides were very experienced and knowledgeable of the areas history and much more. Along with great camping companions, it made the whole trip perfect!
